At Open Minds Studio, growth feels safe, support feels genuine, and every mind is encouraged to flourish—all within a space that feels like home, complete with comfy couches, a warm cup of coffee or tea, and an atmosphere designed for comfort and connection.

Our mission is to provide a welcoming and light-hearted environment where individuals of all ages feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and potential. We are committed to transparent and honest care, fostering a space where clients feel truly heard, respected, and supported in becoming the experts in themselves and what they need. Our psychologists walk alongside each client on their journey to self-discovery and wellness, offering compassionate, evidence-based guidance while empowering them to navigate life’s challenges with confidence, resilience, and self-trust.

I feel such joy knowing my team and I provide a space that feels like home, allowing all who enter to feel at ease to explore who they are and get where they need to be

How to get started

The first step

Filling out an intake form or reaching out might feel daunting. Please know we understand the strength it takes to make this first move. Once you complete this step, we help you with the rest.

The second step

A member of our support team will reach out to you to book or complete an intake call. This is valuable time for our team to ensure we are the right service for you, provide recommendations and answer any questions. We will attempt to contact you three times to complete this call. Following this we will wait to hear from you for up to 10 weeks.

The third step

Depending on our recommendations and your needs, you may schedule an appointment during your intake call or be placed on a waitlist for the next available space. Please note that wait times can vary based on both your availability and the psychologist's.

When a space becomes available, we will contact you via phone, text, and email. Our support team will attempt to offer you a spot three times before removing you from the waitlist. To secure your place, please ensure you respond to our communications promptly.

The fourth step

You’ve secured a space—congratulations! From here, your psychologist and our team are committed to supporting you on your journey. Your first few sessions will focus on identifying your needs and connecting with your psychologist. We are so grateful to have you.

An Open Minded Approach

    Integrated Evidence Based Methods

We understand that clients are not one size fits all. Therefore we pull in elements of various therapy methods such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Relaxation and mindfulness, Life review therapy, Trauma-informed therapy and Somatic based therapy.

    Telehealth or In person

What 2020 taught us was the need for flexibility and innovative ways of accessing psychological supports. As face time like sessions have shown to be just as useful as in-studio sessions, we are offering both. As long as you have a private space and internet connection, we can be flexible.

    Functional approach

For some straight up talk therapy can be uncomfortable and require other functional methods that are more engaging. Thats why we offer other modes of engagement such as walk and talk therapy, outdoor therapy, play based therapy, arts and movement wherever possible.

    Parenting Approved

We understand being a busy Mumma or Papa can mean a lack of privacy and time away from your children. That’s why we aim to work with parents to help them access therapy even when your child(ren) needs to attend with you.
